Design - Theory and Portfolio
Web design is both science and art. Certainly, the coding and programming of a website takes a very organized, analytical mind. What separates a truly great and memorable website from all the others, however, is less tangible; it's a sense of artistry. A great designer must be able to take a client's vision and adapt it to make the best use of the internet as a display medium, while maintaining a healthy respect for color, line, and overall composition.

Here you will find the collected artistic wisdom of the Blue Lotus design team. We recommend that everyone take a quick look at our portfolio, a representative sampling of our finished work. New projects are always being added, so stop back every once in a while to see what we've been up to.
Every artist - literary, graphic, electronic or otherwise - seeks inspiration from the world around her, both in her chosen medium and others. We have included a page highlighting a few of the places we at Blue Lotus Web Design go for design ideas or just to relax in the presence of others' great work.
Finally, for those of you who like step-by-step lists and flowcharts - and that's nothing to be ashamed of! - the Blue Lotus Web Design Process might be of interest. Very generally, it provides a breakdown of each step our designers go through on a new web design project.
