We were lucky to begin work on this site with a very clear artistic vision in mind. Working off of a minimalist business card provided to us by the owner of Iowa Office Services, we created a simple, but very elegant array of pink and green gradients to frame what would ultimately become something of an online business card - an extension of her business identity. In addition, email accounts were established to create a unified communication channel between IOS staff and their own clientele, who also benefited from a number of downloadable forms and guides made available on the site.

The owner of #1 Sun was dissatified with her previous web host and wanted an easier way for her staff to update the site. We converted much of the old site by hand so that it would integrate with the new content management system, while attempting to leave as much of the look of the old site (and its associated branding) as intact as possible. Where the incompatibilities were too great, we created new content to fit seamlessly into the overall design. We also set up a mass mailing system that allows rich-text newsletters to be emailed to nearly 2300 subscribers monthly.

When the Guidance Department at West High School in Davenport, Iowa, approached us about possibly redesigning their website, we jumped at the chance to tackle a project with the potential to help so many students, teachers and parents. Keeping the attention of so many different groups, however, would be difficult. We developed a number of "gateway" pages (all easily accessible from anywhere on the site) for each target audience, containing links of interest and a clear path back to the common pages. This, coupled with the bold use of the school's colors and extensive collaboration with the counselors who plan to use the site as a guidance tool, has made our design accessible and easy to navigate for all, while also instilling a sense of Falcon unity and pride!
